2. The claim by L and B that the trial court improperly pierced the corporate veil to hold them liable was unavailing; 31-72 specifically allows individuals who have the ultimate authority to set hours and pay wages to be held personally liable notwithstanding the fact that a corporation is also the employer. 3. The trial court did not abuse its discretion in awarding double damages and attorney's fees; that court's finding of bad faith, arbitrariness and unreasonableness on the part of V Co., L and B was amply supported by the record, and the award was in keeping with the remedial purpose of the wage laws.
