Just picture it. We’ll have wings like angels and float around on clouds with a silly religious grin on our faces for eternity. I can’t wait. Don’t laugh, this is the way many people see eternal life. This Hollywood cartoon image of heaven has done enormous damage to the reality that heaven is the ultimate fulfillment of the Kingdom of God. This image gives believers a shallow understanding of heaven, and gives non-believers good reason to scoff at God. 


The nature of life after death is a universal curiosity. The people who should know most about it, Christian believers, are the least informed because sermons in contemporary churches are silent on the subject.
