This is a condemnation action by plaintiff, Union Electric Company of Missouri, a corporation, to acquire a perpetual easement, 100 feet in width, for a right-of-way upon and across the land owned by defendants herein for the purpose of erecting, constructing, keeping and maintaining a high voltage electric transmission line thereon. The trial court appointed three Commissioners who assessed defendants damages at $1875. Both plaintiff and defendants filed Exceptions to the Award of the Commissioners and upon a jury trial of the Exceptions, defendants were awarded the sum of $2000. Plaintiffs motion for a new trial was overruled and it appeals.
