Vincennes

As the first and oldest town in Indiana, Vincennes is rich in history. It had an important role in the American Revolution and later was the capital of the Indiana Territory. This book focuses on a more recent time, the years between 1930 and 1960�the period of the Great Depression, the New Deal, World War II, and the post-war years. Fascinating views of stores, clubs, theaters, churches, factories, groceries, and gas stations, many of which are gone or greatly changed, are captured in Vincennes: 1930-1960.
