The NHS has over a million employees.

From a young age, many of them have been driven by a strong vocation to care for others. Among them are some of the most intelligent and diligent people in society. The vast majority work hard in difficult circumstances to ensure that the care that patients receive is safe and compassionate.

This workbook is intended to help people working in the NHS to get to grips with the issues and implications arising from The Francis Inquiry.

The aim is to help individuals, teams and organisations learn the lessons highlighted in The Francis Report so that the NHS is less likely to harm patient

This workbook is based on an approach to learning and communication that is behind a new mobile and online-based communications tool called betternow. betternow creates common ground - time and space - for groups of people to understand what they think about an issue and decide what to do about its in the future.
