With mob hat on, and hair dyed black, French lady’s maid Miss Chantelle Delacourt is undercover for one of the first cases for the Colangle Investigation Agency. Could it be a mission to catch a thief or a murderer, or even serious evidence of fraud? No. It’s a case of a missing cat.

Surprisingly simple one might think, except that the case brings Chantelle into contact firstly with the odious man that brought her over from France, and secondly with a man that sets her senses on fire like no other man could.

His name is Renard and he seems determined to cause havoc for Chantelle’s current employer, whilst playing fast and loose with Chantelle’s senses. She can barely stop to think.

But she knows one thing is certain. That cat won’t find itself…
