Born in Blood

Born in Blood: A Companion Guide to MJ Porter's Tenth Century Series brings together, for the first time, the short stories, and blog posts written about the series by MJ Porter set in England's Tenth Century, (The Women of the Tenth Century, The Brunanburh Series, the two trilogies featuring Lady Elfrida, England's first acknowledged crowned queen, and the beginning of the Earls of Mercia Series, as well as the non-fiction title, The Royal Women Who Made England.) It also includes The Mercian Brexit, previously available as a standalone short story, and now gathered together with similar short stories and blog posts.

The tenth century was when England was truly 'born' through an amalgamation of the previous separate kingdoms.

Many of these artictles and short stories have been published elsewhere, but never in one collection. The companion guide also includes pieces detailing the inspiration behind the many series and characters, as well as the history behind the stories.
