Boys in the 1930s

Roy and Paul Thomas are growing up as teenagers in Westcliff-on-Sea, a suburb of Southend and this volume captures this idyllic period between the two Wars particularly their time in the Scouts. Using notebooks, photographs and documents, a unique insight into their life has been created. 

The SAGUS volumes are a publishing phenomena: together they provide the most comprehensive and true story of a single family, from the earliest of times through until the 21st century.

Each volume covers a period or an event and is drawn from first hand sources including diaries, notes, artefacts and photographs.
