City Building in a Time of Change: London X

London is facing the challenge of a 20% youth unemployment rate, a forecast of lower than expected growth, and yet, in spite of this, still has the potential to reach beyond its current circumstances. That was why when Emerging Leaders met with His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, The Governor General of Canada in March 2013, we were inspired by his challenge to foster a smart and caring city.


Emerging Leaders has risen to that challenge. On March 1st at the London Convention Centre, and through the forward thinking sponsorship of the London Community Foundation, Emerging Leaders shared our responses to these challenges and heard from three speakers who will share the local solutions they found in their own cities.


In this book we look at the  issues and explore and analyze The City of London response to a host of issues from transit to unemployment.
