Commentaries on the Gallic War

Commentaries on the Gallic War (Commentarii de Bello Gallico) is a firsthand account written by Julius Caesar, detailing his military campaigns in Gaul (modern-day France and surrounding regions) from 58 BCE to 50 BCE. The work is a valuable historical document, providing insight not only into the military strategies and tactics used by Caesar but also into the politics and societies of ancient Europe during this period.
