Conducting Research and Developing Theories as an Astronomer

Research in astronomy means studying and investigating the stars, planets, galaxies, and other things in space to learn more about them. Astronomers use special tools like telescopes and satellites to observe and collect data about these celestial objects. But how do astronomers figure out what all the data means? That's where theories come in! Astronomers use the data they collect to develop theories. A theory is like a really good explanation based on all the information they have gathered.
Astronomers are like space detectives, using their tools, observations, and theories to uncover the mysteries of the universe. And who knows, maybe one day you'll become an astronomer and help solve some of these cosmic puzzles too!
