Electrocardiography Practical Interpretation with Narrow and Wide ECG Deflections 12 and 15 lead ECG’s

Modern Nomenclature

Descripción editorial

This book utilizes QRS deflections, which represent the cardiac electric vectors, to diagnose ECG's and Cardiac Rhythms. Narrow deflections (vectors) are always located at the onset of QRS complexes; they indicate their supra ventricular origin. Wide Complex Tachycardias with a Wide onset deflection are Ventricular Tachycardias. NSTEMI's may be Posterior Wall Infarcts, with the use of 15 lead ECG's. In the Modern Nomenclature, the term 'qrs' is replaced by term 'complex'.  Narrow 'qrs' complexes, narrow complexes (<100 ms.) are normal heartbeats. The septum initiates the normal ventricular contraction. The normal septal contraction, vector +1, recorded as a a tiny, narrow, upright deflection in right precordial chest leads V1,V2,V3., is the "fingerprint" which identifies all supra ventricular heartbeats. The author was influential for the creation of the Modern 15 lead ECG, which allows a tridimensional ECG view.
