I'm failing. 

The star goalie who never misses is about to lose everything. 

My scholarship, my future, my shot at going pro. 

All because I can't pass one stupid calculus class.

Until I meet Penny Macklin. The cute, nerdy girl from the university rink who has no idea who I am. She needs a fake boyfriend for some Valentine's fundraiser. I need someone who won't treat me like Hampton High's golden boy or spread it around that I might need a tutor.

Deal made.

One night of pretending. Except now we're locked in tutoring sessions where she bites her lip when she concentrates. Where her innocence is driving me insane. Where I'm supposed to keep my hands to myself but all I want is to corrupt her.

These fake date-tutoring sessions are feeling more and more real. 

I just needed to play in the big game and graduate. 

Now I'm starting to think failing was the best thing that ever happened to me.

The grumpy guy who needs tutoring seems perfect. He's quiet, serious and I've never seen him before. He agrees to fake it for one night if I help him pass his class.

Simple.

Except I can't stop fantasizing about him being one of the heroes in my books. And there's also the fact, he's Jett Holloway, Hampton High's star goalie. Famous, untouchable, completely out of my league. 

But I like the guy I've gotten to know in our tutoring sessions. I'm wondering, is he anything like the guys in my books? I sure hope so. I've been waiting.
