Girls grow up dreaming about womanhood. We imagine and then often experience the surprise of reality.

As a soon to be Crone, I fully appreciate the hardships girls face at this momentous point in their lives, but those moments aren’t all bad and we grow to have some very fond memories and some absolutely hilarious ones.

Growing and coming of age in the 21st century can be a troublesome time for many young women. There is a myriad of obstacles to get over such as peer pressure, fitting in with the crowd and moving schools and having to make new friends. And the temptation to drink, smoke and push the boundaries of your life.

With so much going on in our busy lives these days it is often the case that these coming of age events are overlooked and eclipsed by other family members or events.
