From a young age, Aelia always served the role of her sister's keeper. She tended to the chores around their compound, while also ensuring her sister did not get into any unnecessary trouble. So, when a wealthy patrician came to wed her sister, Aelia knew she had no choice but to intervene and protect her sister from an unfavorable fate.

But this wealthy patrician has a slew of secrets resulting in countless unexplainable deaths. With each passing day, Aelia's nerves heighten, and she seeks ways to protect herself from the Patrician's wrath...however unconventional. 

When her research leads her to a strange silver liquid, with magical properties beyond her imagination, Aelia's experiments begin.  But can these experiments truly protect her from the Patrician? Or will they attract the attention of Death himself?
