Hiawatha Elementary School

In 2016, our school leadership team developed a mission and vision centered around creating an environment that successfully prepares students for the future. Here at Hiawatha, our mission is to have every student learn and succeed in a student-centered, technology-rich learning environment that fosters teacher-student reflection and creates student awareness on the importance of becoming both a leader and a global citizen. We believe it is not enough to just verbalize the vision with our students, we must also put our vision into action. Our staff values the importance of a student-centered environment and teaching beyond basic instruction because we are committed to shaping students into 21st-Century learners. Apple technology helps us achieve this environment by challenging and enriching students daily.
