Nora Bauer wakes up drenched in blood with no memory of the night before. The faded movie star beside her doesn't remember either.

Nora used to be the fixer Hollywood called at 3 a.m. Then she exposed a crime instead of burying it, and the town that paid her to keep secrets stopped taking her calls. So when Daphne Belle, an actress desperate for a comeback, needed someone to keep her out of the tabloids for one night, it looked like easy money.

Now the two of them have to retrace a night of drinks, drugs, and choices they can't take back. The trail runs through dive bars and back rooms, past the people Hollywood pays to stay invisible, toward something much bigger than one bad night. Someone wants the truth to stay buried, and Nora and Daphne are the only loose ends left.

Nora spent her career making other people's messes disappear. Now she's the mess.
