Pearl Harbor: A Modern Pyrrhic Victory

There is one kind of victory that exists in military history that no commander wants their name attached to: a Pyrrhic victory. The attack on Pearl Harbor is one of history’s Pyrrhic victories. Through hindsight we can see how Imperial Japanese aggression turned out, but even in the days after the attack in 1941, the attack was a military disaster.
