Physics : Science of Energy and Time

Descripción editorial

Understanding physics can be a daunting task. Yet, at the start of the 21st century, this field of science is of paramount importance to society, whether through the countless technological applications that flow from it, or the responsibilities and consequences inherent in their use.

The aim of this book is to provide an overview of physical science, covering the fields of thermodynamics and quantum physics. The first part introduces the concept of energy metric space, with examples of its application in thermodynamics. The notions and equations associated with the concepts of irreversibility, speed of thermodynamic transformations and created entropy are redefined. The second part deals with the notion of time. It begins by defining the axioms that explain quantum physics, based on Everett's interpretation of the Schrödinger equation. It concludes by considering models of the evolution over time of a universe and a multiverse.

From to its entirely new content, its highly practical approach and the innumerable unblock it opens up, this book will be of particular interest to students, engineers, teachers, researchers and decision-makers in the energy field.
