Protecting Silver

Douglas "Patch" Atwal has seen it all. Nothing surprised him anymore after being a medic in the Marines. When he returned, he became a trauma surgeon in the ER, never really leaving the adrenaline rush. It was all routine until Silver was brought into his ER.

Silver Roundtree left an abusive relationship years ago, and put her life back together on her terms. One night celebrating with her new friends, her ex finds her. He shows her how angry he is that she left him and never looked back. After a severe beating, he leaves her for dead.

While Silver heals, Patch contacts a friend to help get to find Silver's attacker. Not only was he concerned for Silver, but he realized some things in his own past isn't adding up. It was time to see what had happened to him.

Will Patch be able to protect Silver while going after the people that hurt both of them? Or will his priorities be divided between protecting Silver and getting his own revenge?
