There have been enlightened teachers or Gurus since the very dawn of time: Hasidic Rabbis of Judaism, Sufi Masters of Islam, Lord Jesus and the long line of mystics and saints in the Christian tradition. the Buddha and all the succeeding Rinpoches, Lamas and Roshis in Buddhism―these are all examples of this important and still living tradition.
