This short paper covers a full overview of the investment theorem. This shows that an average investor should mainly focus on dividends and costs when evaluating an investment vehicle. This has to do with the fact that only dividends and costs ensure that the average investor makes an expected return on the investment. The paper consists of one mathematical part and one more explanatory part.
