Disbarred Boston lawyer Jack Breen is looking for a fresh start, and like many men of centuries past he heads west. In the Arizona borderland, he rekindles an old romance with Claire Gaynor, the woman he walked out on years before. But Claire is in the middle of a fight to save her home. Breen, seeing an opportunity to repair his reputation and help the woman he loves, throws himself into Claire's dangerous struggle to save Raven Ranch from a small-time land grabber and a crooked judge. But victory won't come easy.
