Vincent Fairchild must find the Ferox Cor--the dragon's heart. Twenty years ago, it was stolen from the Witch's Council, and now the thief is dead. Vincent has already been pruned from the family tree because “nice” people don’t possess even the lowest of magic, and if he fails to retrieve the Cor, he’ll lose his place with the Council.
