The Miseducation of a Bad Boy

Have you ever had the feeling that you’re living a dream?

I have. Or maybe I should say ‘I do’ because I get that feeling every single day.

Marrying Luke was the one thing in my life that I couldn’t have ever predicted, but you know what they say about bad boys...they are hard to resist. Now, it’s years later, and we’ve built the life that we always wanted. I’m a Federal judge, handling a case that could get me nominated to become a Supreme Court Justice. And Luke? He’s running the world...just as he always knew he would be.

There aren’t many things I could ask for that he hasn’t given me. But unfortunately, there is one other thing that the anonymous ‘they’ always say. And that is, all good things must come to an end.

I wish I could tell you that the words ‘happily ever after’ could accurately describe the story of our romance. I wish I could tell you that once we fell hopelessly in love with each other, things would forever remain the same. I wish I could tell you that life never forced us apart...

But I can’t. Because wishes are for children and ‘happily ever afters’...well, that only happens in fairytales.
