The Roots and Substance of Successful Management Consulting

Globally the number of jokes at the expense of management consultants is immense - in November 2018 Google returned 2.3 million hits for the query ‘Jokes about management consultants’.  To me, who has worked as a professor and a management consultant, this seems to be rather harsh.  There are many established management consulting firms who have brought fresh, imaginative and successful strategies to immense numbers of firms.  This book is an attempt to redress this imbalance and also help the standards of practice in the profession.
