I guess I’ve had a crush on Meredith Stone from the moment she’d walked through the front doors of the Morningstar Mocha with her oversize handbag and complementary dark glasses, her shoes that matched her belt, her perfectly styled blond hair. Sexy, sparkling Meredith, who pulled our stories out of us, one after there other, like pearls on a necklace.

She’d become a part of our little coffee shop community, and we all gave her what she wanted — the best and most secret, hidden parts of us. More than that, she’d become a part of my life. She thought I was crazy. Wild.
