A king came to power in Egypt, he made Israelites slaves and worked them very hard. The ruler, Pharaoh gave an order, “All Hebrew new born boys must be thrown into the Nile River.” A Hebrew boy was born and his parents placed the child in a basket and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.
