The Wanderer

After Lord Samuel Bennett's untimely demise in 1887, his young and sheltered son Michael is saddled with tremendous debts. He must abandon the once-grand Bennett estates in shame and start over in a world that is completely alien to him. Unskilled and poorly educated, he finds himself integrating into the working class in this deteriorating farming village in southern England, where he is taken in by a reclusive family that seems normal enough, but this town harbours many little secrets that he will find himself at the centre of. Will he shed the chains of hundreds of years of obligation, or be crushed by them?
