The Wide Receiver

Jalen Packerton, fastest wide receiver in the NFL, plays for the expansion team Portland Mountain Lions. His stats speak for themselves—and are already in various record books. He lives and breathes the game, and only the game.

Sure, there was a minute when he'd had a crush on the PR manager from the team, and yeah, maybe he'd let that mild obsession mess with his game last season.

But he'd figured out she wasn't the one. Diana is pretty cool and all, but in turns out she she's the perfect match for his buddy Amil.

There isn't someone like that for Jalen. He doesn't need a partner.

That isn't his style.

He has football, he has his team, and that's all he needs.

Even if every time he sees Summer Ortega, he feels the strangest zing sizzle through his system.

Even if he's maybe a little bit crazy for her young daughter, Evie.

Even if she's always hanging around, and she's just as single as he is. And those looks she keeps tossing his way when she thinks he isn't looking are decidedly heated.

Yeah, none of it matters. The only thing that does is the game.

And winning the damn Super Bowl.
