Tohoku Virtual English Class

The Great Tohoku Earthquake occurred in northeastern Japan in March of 2011. The earthquake, along with the subsequent Tsunami and Fukushima nuclear disaster, wreaked the Tohoku region. Tohoku residents have endured great hardships. 


Students and faculty of The American School in Japan have been running various relief programs for Tohoku, including the Tohoku Virtual English Class (TVEC). This book is a record of the TVEC program with interviews from participants. 


2011年3月の東北大震災とそれに伴う津波や福島の原子力発電所の問題により、東北地方は甚大な被害を受けました。それにもかかわらず、東北の人たちはこの5年間、困難に耐えて来ました。


アメリカンスクール・イン・ジャパンでは震災直後から復興を支援するために、様々な活動をしています。東北バーチャル・イングリッシュ・クラス (TVEC) はその一つです。この本はTVECプログラムの記録です。
