This number is expected to reach 1,000,000 by 2021 and to double within 40 years.Dementia mainly affects older people although there is now more awareness of dementia  in younger people and it is estimated that about 2% of people living with dementia in the UK are younger people under the age of 65. This resource will help you feel more confident when working with people living with dementia. It looks at the nature of dementia itself, and incorporates the stories of people who live with dementia and their carers.
