I know my mother loves me and I'm sure she means well planning a big baby shower for me, but she seems to have forgotten our family is the worst. Of course, I assume half the family being thrown out—for reasons I won't get into right now—will be the lowlight of the day. Somehow, though, it gets worse.
The detectives bust into my already epically bad baby shower to pull Declan (mate, baby-daddy, and werewolf Alpha of the Big Sure Pack) into the forest to check the remains of a hiker who appears to have been mauled by a wolf.
As I'm ready to give birth any minute, I'm told to stay home. Meaning, I, of course, go with him. He's not the boss of me.
Let's just say it goes from bad to worse quickly. Wish me luck and feel free to pick up something for little Quinn from the registry.
