As a Firefly in the Night: A Collection of Twenty Stories

There are twenty unconnected to each other stories in this book, written over five years. Most of the stories take place in Binghamton, Upstate NY, where I lived for a while.
Some stories are happy - take that with a grain of salt, others, well — I tried to write them thoughtful without them being depressing. A few of the stories started as children's stories but turned up fit - according to me - for grown-ups.
I enjoy writing about "ordinary" people who find themselves in unusual situations. In such a way, they discover something new and surprising about themselves or their experience. I find it easier to write the stories in that way. Also, I hope that the reader can connect and identify with similar characters and carry something of the "ordinary" - whatever that might mean, person.
