Coast Clear

Coast Clear was developed by five Hawaii high school students as part of the Advanced Innovation and Leadership Project course offered at ‘Iolani School. This book provides an overview of the year-long process to develop and fabricate a machine, also known as the “Beach Buddy”, that sorts microplastics out of the sand as it is pushed along the beach.
