Cohen Close

Leonard Cohen, CC GOQ (born 21 September 1934) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, poet, and novelist. Kenneth McDonnell (born 23 November 1961) is a Canadian living in exile in New Zealand.  The two men have not met.  The latter shares non of the former’s talents in any respect.  The thing is, some of the things Leonard has said, kinda stick in Kenneth’s head and like most things in there, it gets mixed up.  I’m not saying it gets worse. I not saying it gets better. I am saying, for reasons I won’t go into, it seems a lot easier for this to happen with Mr. Cohen that it does, say, for Mr. Lorca or Mr. Rilke.
