collection of poems translated into Latin. Why write a book in Latin? What is the target audience? Now, I am not knowledgeable of the language (I even need rudiments), and I know and agree with the maxim traduttore traditore. What is the point of doing it: for whom and for what? Withered tongue ... I am pragmatic and non-perfectionist: Nothing great, not even sub-optimal. The "more or less" is enough -- much better than nothing. The difference between “doing something” (finis coronat opus) versus “not doing it” is huge. Infinite gain. Division by zero: «What does it matter how small the numerator is, provided it is non-zero?». The output / input ratio results in an infinite gain. Hence "I forgive myself" for work riddled with flaws.
