:   The Great I AM Bible Story Series for Kids

A lot of different things happened during the time the Bible was written. If everything that happened had been written down, the biggest house in the world would not hold all the books.

That’s why it can be great fun to imagine how things might have been that did not get written down. While each of the six books in The Great I AM Bible Story Series for Kids is faithfully based on true events recorded in the Bible, our stories are imagination stories, allowing a peek over the shoulders of those who might have been there. Imagine being a bird or a stone, or even a young boy or girl—just like you—who was there and saw God at work in and through His people.

1. THE BASKET SELLER A Canaanite boy and his family come to know the Jehovah God when they see the wondrous events surrounding the fall of the walls of Jericho. That family could have been Marti’s. Based on Joshua 6.
2. Rachel Meets the Healer: A little girl’s foot should be straight so she could run and play. Certainly her family thought so, but it was her sister’s husband who made it happen. In addition, Rachel made a friend she could keep with herself forever. Based primarily on Matthew 12:14 and 14:14.
3. Secret in the Big House: Bath-Leah hid from the thieving enemy, but they found her hiding place. How would she choose to get even with those who stole her from her home and country? In a very short time she learned that people who live in big houses also have sadness, just like everyone else. Based on II Kings 5.
4. The Wonderful Basket: When a small basket of food fed thousands of people, was it because there was magic in the basket? Or could something else have happened to the meat and bread? How’s that for a good puzzle? Based on John 6.
5. Words from the Birds: God used a fish with a coin to pay the temple tax, a talking donkey to get Balaam’s complete attention, and some obedient (and perhaps talkative) ravens to bring Elijah bread and meet.  Based on I Kings 17:6.

AUTHOR BIO

Joann Klusmeyer is the daughter of pioneer missionary parents. She grew up in rural Arkansas and learned and served in the little country church her father built and then pastored. 

Ms. Klusmeyer is a prolific author with over 50 titles to her credit (and counting).
