This book is one of a 9-book series, 'Mathematics in Pictures' and it covers the mathematical topic, numbers. It is aimed  particularly at teachers and parents of children under 11 years. 


As the title suggests, a key feature of the approach taken is for children to work with pictures in their learning of this mathematical topic. This creates a firm foundation of intuitive understanding that they will build on later when working more conventionally using mathematical symbols.
