O livro PAISAGENS / natural e cultural / Cidade de Goiás é uma homenagem que os autores prestam à cidade que deu origem à ocupação das terras de Goiás.


Trata-se de um livro digital em duas versões – português e inglês - sobre a histórica Cidade de Goiás, contendo dados históricos, urbanísticos, paisagísticos ambientais e arquitetônicos, ilustrado por imagens fotográficas, desenhos e pinturas em aquarela.


Escrever sobre a Cidade de Goiás é valorizar a memória da formação do Estado de Goiás. Berço da cultura goiana, reconhecida como Patrimônio Cultural da Humanidade pela UNESCO, é o objeto cultural mais importante do Estado de Goiás, pois guarda em sua estrutura física as raízes da formação social que gerou a base sobre a qual se apoiou o início da organização socioeconômica estadual e a urbanização do Centro-Oeste do Brasil.


Os autores são arquitetos estudiosos das questões urbanas e arquitetônicas que desenvolveram, paralelamente à suas atuações profissionais, conhecimento e habilidades específicas no campo da história, do meio ambiente, da fotografia e da representação artística da realidade urbana e ambiental.

The book LANDSCAPES / natural and cultural / City of Goiás is a tribute that the authors dedicate to the city that was the birthplace of the settlement of the territories of Goiás.


It is a digital book in two versions - Portuguese and English - on the historic City of Goiás, containing historical, urban, environmental and architectural landscape data, illustrated by photographic images, drawings and watercolour paintings.


Writing about the City of Goiás is to cherish the memory of the formation of the state of Goiás. The City of Goiás is the cradle of Goiás culture, and a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. It is the most important cultural site of the State of Goiás, nurturing in its physical structure the roots of the social formation on the basis of which the initiation of the state socioeconomic organization and urbanization of the Midwest of Brazil was created.


The authors are architects and scholars on urban and architectural issues that developed in parallel with their professional accomplishments, specific knowledge and skills in the fields of history, the environment, photography and artistic representation of the urban and environmental reality.
