Publisher Description

Reflections is a modernized retelling of the Echo and Narcissus myth from the Roman poet Ovid. The goddess Hera has cursed the nymph Echo so that she can’t speak other to repeat the last words spoken to her. Tragically, Echo meets and falls in love with a young hunter named Narcissus. Unfortunately, Narcissus is so prideful that he incapable of loving anyone, but himself. After Echo is rejected by narcissus she simply fades away remaining as nothing more than a voice. Tired from the hunt, Narcissus pauses alongside a spring and while drinking, sees his own reflection. Falling in love with himself he is unable to abandon the spring and eventually wastes away as Echo had done.
