Southeast Alaska

Multicultural Alaska Series winner of Best Textbook Award-2016. This volume tells the story of Southeast Alaska - its geography, peoples, culture, and history - and includes seven interactive lesson plans focusing on place-based and multicultural education. This book is authored by University of Alaska Southeast Masters in Teaching students Kluonie Frey, Katie Halvorson, Jasmine James, Matt Smith, Devin Tatro, Shannon Velez and Ioana Ward. 


This book was developed using a project-based learning approach under the direction of nationally-recognized educator - Peter Pappas.
