Sweet second chance story
This story is about two friends that meet after 20 years. They had great time together when they were teenagers and spent summers together in Indigo Bay. Polly just got out of a bad marriage and she is trying to figure out who she really is and what she should do with her life. She had a succesful career before getting married, but she abandoned everything and became a trophy wife thinking that was what she wanted. Nick is very care free. he is happy to see Polly after so many years and is determined to teach her to let go and learn how to live a happy life. They realize very soon they had been measuring their parteners afer each other and that is why they were not able to have succesful relationships in the past. They both came to Nick’s uncle wedding and they are forced to help with the planning as the wedding planner quits. Polly is atracted to Nick and she would like to be able to live the moment, but is not sure of herself and is afraid she will get hurt again. Both Nick and Polly realize they want to live very close to the other one, so they find a solution that is good for both of them. Even if the story is short, and everthing happends during the week of the weading, there are very deep moments. I think lots of us could relate with the caracters, and they are things you could learn. I finish the book a couple of days ago and is still fresh in my mind, I picture the couple on the beach, I see them struggle and I am sure I will read it again after some time. I really recommend this book! Happy reading!
