When Zoe finds herself a job at 'Jackson Dispatch', driving delivery vans, her case-officer, Patrick Fenick, is seriously annoyed. He was the one who persuaded the probation board to give Zoe early release by telling them that he had a job and a flat lined up for her.

Patrick had pulled some strings so that he could control the 21-year-old's life. He liked the girl and wanted a relationship where Zoe relied on him… A relationship that involved a certain amount of depravity.

Frantic to get his plan back on track, Patrick calls on Ron Smith before Zoe gets home and gives him details of the girl's violent crimes, then explains that he has a flat lined up for Zoe. Ron is relieved and agrees to the plan.

The Job that Zoe accepted at 'Jackson Dispatch', involves delivery driving and providing an intimate service to Tom Jackson's most important customers while doing 'overtime'. Zoe suffered punishments and depraved acts from inmates in prison, so wasn't fazed by her new working conditions.

When Zoe gets home after her first day at work, she finds Patrick Fenick bending Ron's ear. Zoe concludes that Fenick has obsessed about her since becoming her case officer and realizes that her life is about to get even more complicated.
