UP NORTH

Life seems pleasant in the village of Sweetwater Springs, Michigan. Tucked into the northwest corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Sweetwater Lake, the village is a summer retreat for the leisure class. It has the ambiance of wealth, with a cute little main street decorated with expensive boutiques and bistros. When retired Detroit police detective John Angelo hires on as the new Village Constable, he looks forward to the peace and solitude of his new job. He soon discovers a seedy underbelly of corruption... gambling... illicit sex... and murder. July, 1967. The streets of Detroit are burning with a race riot. And here in the wilderness UP NORTH, far from the madness downstate, Angelo's life is about to come apart at the seams.
