Valdmer the Viking

This late 19th-century publication is an illustrated story of Valdmer the Viking's last voyage and other journeys, containing many late Saxon and Northern references, prior to the Conquest. The author wishes to convey his disappointment that he could not publish the book in the native tongue, which, although simple enough, would not be easily digestible for the masses.
