Elsie's Kith and Kin

This novel follows Elsie Dinsmore through a very difficult period in her life. Eight years old and living with her extended family on a southern plantation, she suffers from loneliness, abuse and wont of affection. Elsie relies on her absolute and unwavering Christian faith to survive these trials. Upon her father's return, Elsie imagines finding the parental love she has lacked since her mother's death.
