100 Goals

100 goals in a season is the Australian Rules equivalent of a triple century in Test cricket, and there has always been a fascination with goals and the sharp shooters who have kicked them. In 100 GOALS, Jon Anderson speaks to the 21 living players to have joined the magical 100-goal club, dating back to the freakish Peter Hudson in 1968 through to Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin 40 years on.
The members of this elite club speak of their inspirational childhood heroes, the full backs who made their job that much more difficult and ultimately the player they regard as the best full forward they have seen. This is the first time these players’ stories have been put together, making for a fascinating journey through the mindset of the men to have kicked the ton.
