It was 9 in the morning and still dark when we stepped off the plane. Sunrise wasn’t until noon. After a 7 hour flight, we had just arrived in Iceland. At that time, Iceland was a foreign land known for mythical ponies, natural wonders and extraterrestrial landscapes. We were about to begin a journey that would take us to Iceland’s remote southern coast on a quest to witness the Northern Lights.  35mm of Iceland is a visual record of that journey.
