When Jimmy Tran holds a class hostage with a gun, Ms. Kaur must do all she can to dissuade him from hurting her students and himself. A baptised Sikh with a turban, Ms. Kaur draws on her post-911 experiences to connect with Jimmy who has been the victim of endless bullying and discrimination.
